Patience is a Virtue

Eko Stoplight by Damjan Stankovic, via Yanko Design

Don't you hate it when you get to a rarely used traffic light, and it takes forever to change? Questions such as "Is this thing broken?", and "Does it even know I'm here?" are gone when sitting in front of one of these progress stoplights. Countdown clocks already exist in China, but this is true technological beauty. Plus, teenage boys everywhere will be able to practice their drag racing skills to perfection.

I don't understand why they don't work on sensors. We have one by my house that drives me nuts!

Most of them do have sensors, either for weight (why motorcycles sometimes don't activate them) or through metal strips in the asphalt that you drive over (you can see them if you look closely). Some lights that are used less frequently are just timed though...those are the frustrating ones! :P

Annoying! Nothing worse than waiting for nothing!
